A Lotus Grows in Brooklyn

Yesterday was a cavalcade of weather phenomena: blue sky then black clouds then torrential downpour then tropical sun and back again. The rain paused long enough for me to take some photos of a steaming, fragrant, lovely Stuyvesant Square.

As twilight fell, the Empire State Building shined through the haze over Union Square.
