… you can see in one little lunch hour. I took these photos Monday, Sept. 28.

Punk’ns! at a corner deli, 35th and Lex.

On 39th Street, a raucus crowd angry about the killing of pro-democracy protesters in Guinea. (Read more here.) These were all part of a large faction against Capt. Moussa Dadis Camara and his military junta.

And this was a smaller crowd, separated by riot fences and police, who support Dadis.

Later, a first visit to the wonderland that is Kalustyan’s Indian spice shop on Lexington in “Curry Hill.” Besides intriguing Indian legumes and spices, they have the biggest selection of hot sauces I’ve ever seen!

Then, back to work.

* Note: My inclusion of these disparate items is not meant to say that they are on par as far as importance, obviously. Just an example of the colorful existence one has the opportunity to live in New York.

I am so happy I’m seeing pumpkins at the green markets now!
