Further adventures in using nutritional yeast to make cheesy sauces!

This recipe also comes from RandomGirl. She calls it “Tia’s Mac N Cheese.” Yes, I know this is boring and I should have added a host of other veggies or tofu or beans or something amazing. But I kind of wanted to see how it tasted on its own. Not bad and very quick to make! I did end up adding Tapatio, like I do to nearly everything (bad habit), which made it quite a bit tastier. Try it and see what you think!

Easy Vegan Mac & Cheeze

1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1/3 cup soy margarine
1 1/2 cup water
1-2 sloshes soy sauce
2 tsp mustard
pepper to taste

Toast flour and yeast in a pan until they smell nutty. Add margarine and stir till bubbly. Add water and cook until it thickens, stirring constantly. When it is thick, stir in the remaining ingredients.

Stir this into a pot of shells or elbows or penne.
