It’s Pride Week in New York! Woot! Meanwhile, Gov. Paterson is trying to force the state senate to vote on same-sex marriage. Like, tomorrow. Cross your fingers!

As for me, I have the opportunity to either march in the parade with one of three different groups, or work a table at the festival during it. What should I do? Help out by participating in this poll. Here’s more info on the groups:

MENY: “Marriage Equality New York is an all-inclusive organization whose mission is to educate the public by raising awareness of the important right of all persons to enter into legally recognized gender neutral civil marriage with all the benefits and responsibilities that entails.” Marching, with a float, with the City of Amsterdam!

Empire State Pride Agenda:  “New York’s statewide lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights and advocacy organization. Our mission is to win equality and justice for LGBT New Yorkers and our families.” Marching in light-blue T-shirts.

Mercy for Animals: “Animal advocacy organization. Founded in 1999 and over 25,000 members strong, MFA works to create a society where animals are treated with the respect and compassion they so rightly deserve.” Marching in black T-shirts.

VegOut NYC: “New York’s social group for lesbian, gay, bi and transgender vegetarians, vegans and friends.” No marching, just working at the table at the festival afterward, handing out pamphlets and such.
